We are thrilled to announce an upcoming seminar co-organised by the Department of Biostatistics of the City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Statistical Society.

The seminar will be held on 7 January 2026 (Wed) evening.  We are delighted to invite Prof. Xuming HE to deliver a talk on “Integration of AI in Statistical Work: Challenges and Opportunities".  Prof. HE will discuss the use of synthetic data and adaptive data collection in the talk.

Prof. HE is currently the Chair of the Department of Statistics & Data Science, and Kotzubei-Beckmann Distinguished Professor of the Washington University in St. Louis, USA, as well as a joint editor for the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society - Series B (Statistical Methodology).  Prof. HE is also the past ISI President (2023-2025).
