BYE-LAWS
Register of Membership
1. (a) A Register shall be kept containing the names of all members of the Society. When a candidate for admission has been elected, and notified in writing by the General Secretary, his name shall be added to the Register only after he has paid his entrance fee, if any, and his first annual subscription (or part of) within one calendar month from the day of his election.
(b) Members shall be required to notify the Committee of any change of correspondence address. Notice issued to members shall be considered to have been properly served if posted or delivered to the last known correspondence address of the member as recorded in the Register of the Society.
Subscription
2. (a) The Committee may, from time to time, stipulate the amount of entrance fees and subscriptions (whether annual or otherwise) payable by members of the various categories. These amounts shall become effective after being endorsed at a General Meeting. The payment of entrance fee shall not again be required in the case of a transfer between different categories of membership. Once paid, neither the entrance fee nor the subscription is refundable.
(b) The annual subscription shall be due on the 1st day of January in each year for the year commencing on that day. Members elected after the 1st day of July in any year shall for that calendar year pay half of such annual subscription. Any member whose annual subscription remains unpaid after six months shall not be entitled to any of the rights and privileges of membership till such time as he has paid the fees and arrears due to the Society.
(c) Any member whose subscription is twelve months in arrears may by resolution of the Committee be excluded from membership of the Society, after the Committee has informed him of their intention to do so by letter. A former member who has allowed his membership to lapse may make a new application and, if elected, must pay his entrance fee and annual subscription.
(d) Honorary Membership
Honorary Members are not required to pay the entrance fee and subscription.

Conduct of Members
3. (a) All members of the Society are required to order their conduct so as to uphold the dignity, standing and reputation of the Society. The Committee may make, amend or rescind rules to be observed by members with regard to their conduct in professional matters relevant to their position as members of the Society.
(b) If a member be convicted of any felony or criminal offence or act in a manner which renders him unfit to be a member, the Committee shall have the right to remove his name from the Register thus expelling him from the Society.
Cessation of Membership
4. Any member may be removed from the Society by a resolution of the Committee passed by a majority of at least two-thirds of the members present and voting at a Committee Meeting of which not less than twenty-one days prior notice specifying the intention to propose such resolution shall have been sent to the member whose removal is in question and to all members of the Committee. Notice of the general nature of the grounds of which such resolution is proposed shall be sent to the member whose removal is in question at least fourteen days before the meeting, and he shall be entitled to be heard by the Committee. The General Secretary shall duly notify the decision of the Committee to the person concerned.
Records
5. The Committee shall adopt regulations governing procedures in connection with all financial matters including, inter alia, the compilation of a record of membership subscriptions and fees payable, and the preparation of periodical returns and annual audited statements.
Inspection of Documents
6. The membership records and account books shall be open to the inspection of any member and to accredited persons who have an interest in the funds of the Society, provided that seven days’ notice in writing of such inspection is given to the General Secretary.
